Last on our honeymoon trip was to Ho Chi Minh City aka Saigon. I'll keep this short because quite honestly.... I was really unimpressed. The city was not only filthy, but the air was covered in a thick visible layer of air pollution which left Ben and I struggling to breathe comfortably and stung our eyes. There are no street lights or laws of the road which meant that hundreds upon hundreds of motorbikes were in the street (and on the freaking sidewalks) driving erratically so crossing the street was nearly impossible. I did enjoy the French influence in the post office and the Notre Dame, but was left unimpressed but the rest of the city. Also, to add insult to injury it rained... All in all I probably could've gone without this stop, but I know Ben was happy to see this country so I would've done it again for him. If you really want to visit yourself in Ho Chi Minh City or you find yourself with some extra time to spare there, I recommend visiting the following places: 1. Notre Dame Cathedral 2. Bitexco Financial Tower: The view looking over all of Ho Chi Minh is outstanding 3. War Remnants Museum: It's a bit depressing, but very interesting to learn about the Vietnam War from Vietnams perspective 4. Saigon Central Post Office: Beautiful French architecture, something you wouldn't expect to see in Vietnam All I know for sure is that this adventurous cruise left me wanting more! My wanderlust is officially in full force... I wonder where we'll end up next?

Planning a honeymoon trip to a unknown place is really a troublesome task but we can enjoy and make it memorable by hiring a tour operator as they can guides us very well and makes our trips remarkable without spoiling our enjoyment.
